About irotto
irotto is a time tracker that colors in the squares of graph paper as you study or work. Instead of a chart of numbers, the squares you have filled show at a glance how much you have built up.
How it works
Add categories
Add the categories you want to track, such as math or English, and pick one of 16 colors for each.
Time your work
Start a fixed-length timer, a Pomodoro that alternates work and breaks, or a preset you made. Work you did without the timer can be recorded later by entering the times.
Squares get colored in
Squares are colored in the category's color for the time you worked. One square can stand for 5 to 60 minutes (25 by default), and a page has 16 × 24 squares. Work shorter than 5 minutes is not recorded.
Look back
The stats page shows your monthly work time, daily average, streak, totals by category and when in the day you worked.
Features
Graph paper notebook
Squares are colored in with a hand-drawn look. Touch a colored square to see when that record was made and how long it was.
Timer and Pomodoro
Besides the standard Pomodoro (25 minutes of work, 5 minutes of break), you can build presets from work, break and repeat steps. A sound plays when a phase ends, and you can turn on browser notifications in settings.
Ambient sounds
Layer rain, a campfire, a stream, waves and noise with instruments like piano and guitar to make a sound you can focus to. Every sound is synthesized in the browser.
Appearance
Change the theme color, grid color, square spacing, how hand-drawn the coloring looks and the text size.
How your records are saved
- You can use irotto without signing up. Your records are then saved in the browser on the device you use.
- Sign in with Google to save your records to your account and see them on other devices. The first time you sign in, the records on that device move to your account.
- Only you can see your records and category names. They are never made public or shared with anyone. You can delete your account at any time from the settings page.
